I am just writing to you, before going to the Solomon Islands to see what Jaap is up to and enjoy some ‘island time’. I’ll be back well before the season changes to warm.
Ipswich has been buzzing with the Kaleidoscope Festival preparations, staging and debrief all behind us now. Those who came enjoyed themselves and we had some good feed back from all corners of the community. The site proved itself to be a perfect spot for a ‘village’ festival. See some festive images in this issue.
The Kaleidoscope Committee has decided to do it again on Saturday 25 August 2007. So feel like a challenge, then join us for our first meeting next year.

The Arts Council is donating a $75 Art Prize Voucher to an outstanding Graphic Design student in 2006 at the Bremer Institute of TAFE. In turn we will be creating an opportunity for students to use their special talents for PR material in the next year.
When you read this a group has got together to brainstorm a Grant Proposal together for the 2007 Ipswich Festival Parade…creatively technical and beyond the gazebo.
Our next IAC meeting is 7.00pm 16 November 2006 at the ArtsAlive! space 1st floor Pender Building, Ellenborough St, IPSWICH CBD.
